HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE OF THE WORLD!!!!
ITS 2009!!
ok i know im late.. forgive me kay.. haha(:
i went for countdown tdy with the CYAs (namely Jing Ting, Ping Chong, Shiling, Calvin and Junshen) @ ECP.
well.. the turnup was pathetic considering the many we tried to invite (35 i think?).
nevertheless, the whole thing turned out really well.
when we first got there (after a really long but entertaining bus ride.. :D)
i couldnt really feel the new year atmosphere.
nothing like the party chev had last year..
BUT
i had lots of fun there!! really!!
better than chev's party. (sorry girl XD)
there wernt any activities (maybe one.. if you consider burning up stuff an activity..)..
we just sat on the two $1.30 table covers,
surrounding one thick red candle and rose sented tealight candles (all the courtsey of calvin fong wei ming[H] XD) ..
munched on carls jr food and talked all the way..
(well. of course we paused when the clock striked 12 and shouted "HAPPY NEW YEAR" along with everyone at the beach :D) ..
it felt really comfortable.
the soft crashing sounds of the waves, the soft powdery sand, the gentle sea breeze, the bunch of wierdly funny friends..
know what..
i realized how simple things can also turn out to be so so satisfying.
then came the three army men.
"gibson, justin & alvick?.. names are like based on their pronunciation" - copied from JS's blog cuz i totally dont rmb their names (funny how he rmbs them though.. HEs the one with stm....right?)
it all started when they came over to us, saying "happy new year!!", followed by "ummm.. can we borow a candle?"
haha(: got motive one. LOL(:
after awhile, they said they were goin home and gave us their bottle of gin.
BUT they really didnt go home.
reason being they had to wait for one of their friend to settle some relationship prob.
so they came over to us- again- and said "can we join you guys?"
and so they did.. and they only left 2 hrs before we did..

we made quick friends with them and found out that they were 20yo NS men waiting for ORD or somthing liddat..(pardon me for my lack of NS knowledge.. haha :D)
we talked and talked and talked and after 2hrs or so, they started burning stuff with the gin.
at first, it was really cool. but after awhile, i got bored. so did jing ting..
we stood in one side, wondering why guys are so fascinated with fire.
but of course we never figured it out. haha(:
oh.. and i learnt something new abt myself.
i dont have an affinity with paper cups..
if i didnt know better i'd think they hate me or something.
cuz the thing is, i actually dropped the paper cup twice and almost dropped it once
really embarrassing!!!
i felt like being a ostrich in that instant. or in my case, those instances):
overall, the whole event went well, i had fun(:
i hope the others did too(:
i know JS did.. he said it in his blog.. but the rest?

CYA should have more of this. with more attendees.
NightBladers should include some innocence? in our activities.. haha(:
